How Simon Sinek motivated me to get back into motivational speaking

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog and today’s blog is about how one of the greatest speakers and top selling author captivated me to get back on track and motivated me to keep going with my ambition and other resources that I’ve used in order to get myself together so grab a snack ?/drink ☕️ and get comfortable, because this blog post will also help you get driven into your ultimate passion in life ??.

(DISCLAIMER: please note I will NOT be mentioning any names on both the organisation and the people who were involved within this blog post, due to his high recognition in his reputation both online and in the real world.)

But before I get into the main blog post: I wanted to mention a quick brief on what I’ve been up to within my 9 month break from blogging and yes I did miss you all. For the last 9 months I’ve been keeping myself occupied with the voluntary work for two organisations as well as studying motivational speaking, I also had a time to reflect on myself on a lot of things and one of them is going through mental health. My mental health became my number one priority before anything else and I asked myself this question: “Is it worth sacrificing my mental health and happiness for someone else’s issue of me that they can’t let go?” I’ve made the decision to leave the organisation that didn’t treat me well and moved on with it and I’ve never been happier than ever before.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, it’s time for the main blog post and you’re probably wondering how Simon Sinek motivated me to get myself back on track as an aspiring motivational speaker. While I was studying, I went onto a motivational speaker’s YouTube video based on his office tour stating that he stole other people’s quotations and submits it as his own on both social media and on YouTube. What made it even worser is that he doesn’t even give credit back when credit is due on other people’s work.

This made me re think on my opinion about him and his content of work in general. Although I’ve continued studying, my passion on motivational speaking was starting to become obsolete and I ended up procrastinating on my ambitions by getting distracted on other things besides studying including playing games on my phone and even giving up my happiness for the other organisation who just wants me to get on with it like nothing ever existed. I thought it would over for me before it even began until I started watching Simon Sinek’s speeches. The moment that I started watching him, it completely gave me a sense of motivation and it even helped me get back on track into the path that I was destined to be in the first place. Especially on his TED talks such as why good leaders make you feel safe and how great leaders inspire action.

Along with other presentations that he presented on YouTube including “How to make an impact.” by motivation2study 2, “Most leaders don’t even know the game they’re in.”, “This is why you don’t succeed.” by time fearless as well as “Simon Sinek: Why leaders eat last.” by 99U and “Simon Sinek: If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business.” by 99U. After watching him giving out his presentations on YouTube, I finally my motivation and determination to get back on track on achieving my goal as an aspiring motivational speaker and to keep going with it until I finally reach my goal.
