How Simon Sinek motivated me to get back into motivational speaking

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog and today’s blog is about how one of the greatest speakers and top selling author captivated me to get back on track and motivated me to keep going with my ambition and other resources that I’ve used in order to get myself together so grab a snack ?/drink ☕️ and get comfortable, because this blog post will also help you get driven into your ultimate passion in life ??.

(DISCLAIMER: please note I will NOT be mentioning any names on both the organisation and the people who were involved within this blog post, due to his high recognition in his reputation both online and in the real world.)

But before I get into the main blog post: I wanted to mention a quick brief on what I’ve been up to within my 9 month break from blogging and yes I did miss you all. For the last 9 months I’ve been keeping myself occupied with the voluntary work for two organisations as well as studying motivational speaking, I also had a time to reflect on myself on a lot of things and one of them is going through mental health. My mental health became my number one priority before anything else and I asked myself this question: “Is it worth sacrificing my mental health and happiness for someone else’s issue of me that they can’t let go?” I’ve made the decision to leave the organisation that didn’t treat me well and moved on with it and I’ve never been happier than ever before.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, it’s time for the main blog post and you’re probably wondering how Simon Sinek motivated me to get myself back on track as an aspiring motivational speaker. While I was studying, I went onto a motivational speaker’s YouTube video based on his office tour stating that he stole other people’s quotations and submits it as his own on both social media and on YouTube. What made it even worser is that he doesn’t even give credit back when credit is due on other people’s work.

This made me re think on my opinion about him and his content of work in general. Although I’ve continued studying, my passion on motivational speaking was starting to become obsolete and I ended up procrastinating on my ambitions by getting distracted on other things besides studying including playing games on my phone and even giving up my happiness for the other organisation who just wants me to get on with it like nothing ever existed. I thought it would over for me before it even began until I started watching Simon Sinek’s speeches. The moment that I started watching him, it completely gave me a sense of motivation and it even helped me get back on track into the path that I was destined to be in the first place. Especially on his TED talks such as why good leaders make you feel safe and how great leaders inspire action.

Along with other presentations that he presented on YouTube including “How to make an impact.” by motivation2study 2, “Most leaders don’t even know the game they’re in.”, “This is why you don’t succeed.” by time fearless as well as “Simon Sinek: Why leaders eat last.” by 99U and “Simon Sinek: If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business.” by 99U. After watching him giving out his presentations on YouTube, I finally my motivation and determination to get back on track on achieving my goal as an aspiring motivational speaker and to keep going with it until I finally reach my goal.

My inspirational journey on becoming a motivational speaker.

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog post. You probably noticed that I’ve been away from blogging for nearly 9 months so on today’s blog is going to be something that I always wanted to talk about for a while and that is my inspirational journey on becoming a motivational speaker and what/who inspire me to pursue an ambitious path on becoming one as well as the resources I’ve used to help me on discovering the greatest aspects on becoming one in the first place. So grab a snack ?/drink ☕️ and get comfortable ?, because this blog post will be interesting and motivating for you to read ?.

(DISCLAIMER:- please note that this is not sponsored and everything that I have mentioned on here is all out of my own opinion and the course was brought by my mum as a birthday present for me.)

Aaahhh…. where to begin? Well it all begins when I kept making up mini and some big motivational/inspirational speeches on the spot towards people, individuals and even to myself. (I know it sounds weird, but that’s how I usually do it) although it’s not just saying it to other people and even towards myself, I even watched a few people on YouTube and social media have also given me the inspiration on becoming a motivational speaker too.

While I was researching for courses and places on where to learn on becoming a motivational speaker, I started witnessing a few speakers giving it speeches including Amber Wagner (aka jstlbby), Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Maya Angelou, Jay Shetty, Lisa Nicols and even Eric Thomas. Oh I forgot to mention Tom and Lisa Bilyeu as well as Gary Vaynerchuk (aka Gary Vee) and Peter Dinklage (yes he’s an actor, but his speech has captivated me to go out there and start achieving my potential aspects in life).

There I was listening and grasping to every word that these extraordinary people who have spoken on social media and on YouTube made me blew my mind and really gave me the inspiration to pursue my dream goal and become a motivational speaker. It’s not just the people who inspire me to take a risk in my life. It’s also the amount of time I’ve spent on researching along with reading some books that I borrowed from the library and even listening to CDs (yeah it’s pretty old school, but at least it’s not on audio tape. That would be complicated indeed.) I started listening to Ann Marshall on CDs and I was interested on what she said within the sessions (unfortunately I couldn’t remember the name of the CDs that I heard were from Ann Marshall)

After listening to Ann Marshall CDs, I’ve decided to go to reed.co.uk for an online course based on my passion. There were some that are too expensive and some that were on the affordable side. However it comes with an exam and I usually have a hard time going through an exam. After searching online for the course, I have found the one that is suitable for me and it doesn’t have any deadlines at all which means more flexibility for me to continue with my everyday life and to also be a little more wiser when answering the questions being provided to me.

The name of the organisation that I’m learning to do this is NLP centre of excellence/vita online courses which is taught by Jimmy Petruzzi. He starts of by sending an email by saying “Thank you and congratulations on your purchase on the motivational speaking course. An exciting, interactive, thought provoking learning experience.” and he will attach an assignment for you to complete and to analyse by printing of or to read it on a device to study. I started off by writing down the answers in a notepad as a rough draft and to check if it makes sense in what was written down. Once I’ve finished off the assignment, I typed it up on a word document that I’ve completed on my notepad and then send it over to my tutor. I then receive an email back from him with feedback as well as the next assignment that I have complete.

My review on the happy scents candle

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today’s blog is going to be very different that I don’t usually write about and that is giving a review on the happy scent candle and I wanted to try something different for a change and let me know if you want me to do more reviews on products like this one or something similar. So grab a snack ?/drink ? and get comfortable ?, because this blog post will be interesting for you to read ?.

(DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a sponsored blog post. I purchased this candle from the festival which was displayed in the first image and this is only my opinion on my experience with the candle that I’ve purchased from the stall, in which you can purchase from their website for the any upcoming events and you can also check them out on social media as well in order to keep in touch with them too.)

I came across a stall that sells vegan candles and the yogis: yoga and vegan festival at the AT7 centre on 23rd June and they provide handmade vegan candles and they have a variety of 21 candles to choose as well as providing an option of making a gift set if you wish to do so. The display at the festival shows its simplicity of the products being shown as well as displaying it neat and well organised for the customers and browsers to look at as shown below.

A wide variety of these gorgeous candles ?

As you can also see that they displayed at some small size candles. However the only available if you are there at the stall and if you are interested in purchasing the smaller ones you have to make a request to them for being adjusted in a smaller size version of the candle however you may need to pay additional cost for the postage and packaging as the larger ones are available for the website that have free postage and packaging. The owner of the stall is very friendly and upbeat about the products she made and sells for all of us to admire for her candles.

Before I can give you the actual review of the candle here’s a quick brief of the company. They are based in Birmingham West Midlands UK, the candles are made with ribbon wick and they are available online for you to purchase which I will put the link below for you to go and check it out.

I only purchased one of her candles and the name of the scented candle that I brought from there is called Thai lime and mango. All I got to say for this candle is WOW. I was amazed with the scent that the candle being lit up, but you might want to wait for it to go into a pool of wax in order for the small candle to give its scent out.

The candle itself being lit up.

It reminded me of a piña colada scent. Due to the pineapple scent that was in the candle and it’s not overpowering nor too sharp for the scents too, which is perfect for me ? as you can see above when its lit up. Once the wax is turned into a pool of wax, that’s when you will notice the scent coming out. The large size candle cost £12.95 with free shipping and as for the reed diffusers they cost £18.00 and it’s also the same price for the votive trio gift set that will also come with free shipping.

As for the small candle the cost of the small one is £6.50 plus £3 p+p, however if you want to purchase the small candle, you must make a request in the website if you preferred a small scented candle of your choice and its the same for the wax melts. They come in a pack of 6 and they cost £5 with the £3 shipping too, due to the amount of candle wax being poured into pots.

Please take precaution action on where you place the candle, in case it can cause health and safety hazard with fire within the environment as well as being aware for those who have asthma or have a similar breathing difficulty if the scented candle is lit up where you want to experience the aroma of this candle and if there are children or pets around you, please make sure that the lit candle is further away from them in order to avoid any accidents that might occur in any circumstance whatsoever.

My overall experience on using this candle has a been absolutely amazing and the scent of this candle is so divine enough for me to even fall asleep and listen to some spa music in order for me to relaxed and calm to enjoy smelling this awesome candle.

How social media affected my body confidence and self esteem

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog and today’s blog is going to be on how social media affected my body confidence and self esteem in both positive and negative perspective and yes unfortunately this also includes Instagram and how it really affected me in a negative way along with other influential people that helped me realise that I don’t need to be the next someone else and be inspired to be myself without worrying about anybody else. So grab a snack ? or a drink ?and get comfortable ?, because this one will make you think ? before you react on social media and outside of social media too.

(DISCLAIMER: This is only on my point of view on how social media affected my body confidence and self esteem. It is NOT a way of promoting any body shaming activities to those who are currently having or going though the same issue as I am going through by scrolling through social media and we MUST love ourselves for who we are. No matter what other people say about our appearance as well as being true to ourselves)

This all started off when I was going through social media, particularly with Instagram and while as I was scrolling though on there I noticed something that made me become conscious with my body and that was seeing other models that we normally would see on social media and seeing Instagram models is one of them. Witnessing those girls on Instagram made me have low self esteem on myself and they’re clearly showing off the ideal body figures, from enhancing their features with plastic surgery to creating the ideal relationship with another model being accompanied with in order to create an illusion of the perfect life ?.

What made this situation even more worse for me is seeing those skinny women who posing with attractive men trying to sell a fantasy to the general public and that alone made me from having mild self esteem to gaining low self esteem and I ended up having a negative experience on accepting myself for who I am and loving myself for who I am ? as well as trying to step outside my comfort zone with my fashion sense and ended up being body conscious about my own image.

However social media is not always a negative thing for me, in fact it could be really positive as well. One day I went on Facebook and I witnessed Ashley Graham giving a speech towards young girls on her own life story and how she made it through as a plus size model and her speech alone make me feel accepted for who I am and it’s not just her alone that helped me realise that I need to love myself as all the other people that I found all the social media including Nabela Noor, WhatLauraLoves and fullerfigurefullerbust. After seeing those women on social media and seeing the confidence that they got have given me the inspiration to be myself again and they also inspired me to make me feel good and that I don’t need to change myself in order to fit into the “ideal body figure” nor moulding into society when I can learn to stand out in front of the crowd.

Embracing my uniqueness in front of the mirror ?.

My experience at the Ansty social club

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog and today’s blog will be on my time at the brain tumour support Christmas meal ?at the Ansty social club and what me and my family have been doing at the Ansty social club along with what we ate there and the outcome of it as well, so grab a snack ?/ drink?and get comfortable ?, because this one is going to be a fun one to read.

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a sponsored blog post. Everything on this blog post is 100% has been purchased by me and my brother.

We were so excited on that day to go for the Christmas meal before the new year arrived. My brother gave the order on what we wanted for the Christmas meal. On that day, all of us were told to wear something Christmasy including jumpers as you can see on this pic below.

On the left is my brother Arvin, our mum in the middle and myself on the right.

On the other pic below is the complete outfit that I wore for the Christmas meal from head to toe. (Sorry I couldn’t find another tall mirror as this is the only mirror that I can find and it’s only in my dads room as well as the bad picture quality too.) I got the boots and the skinny jeans are from yours clothing and their jeans and boots are absolutely amazing and it made me look taller than I anticipated. The Christmas jumper however I got it from peacocks and this Christmas jumper is so soft and comfortable to wear along with a cute design which is sewn in with sequins and are designed it self looks so adorable too ☺️. I also wore my NYX metallic liquid lipstick in biker babe and this shade is so beautiful and it gives a festive vibe to the look too.

My entire outfit ? (Sorry for the bad lighting)

Me, my mum and my brother arrived at the social club and the setting of the club looks so amazing and very low-key at the same time too. There were some Christmas music being played there and there was also a slideshow based on the photos that were taken for the brain tumour support and we did in Coventry throughout the year. What’s that up with the drinks there and there were a very limited variety of drinks to have and all of us have gone for water rather than red and white wine that was provided for us on the tables as well as the bar being available for drinks too.

The Devon crab cake ?

I’m going to start with the starter and my starter was the Devon crab cake and the presentation looks amazing and the taste of the crab cake is astonishing and lovely too ?. My mum and and brother had the parsnip soup as a starter and they both loved it as a vegetarian/vegan starter to have.

Turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings displayed ☺️

Then we had the main course and my main course was the turkey with stuffing and all the trimmings available for me to have and honest with the turkey is amazing and the stuffing was tasty to have and the vegetables were awesome. My mum and brother had the chickpea and sweet potato curry with wild rice and there were some mixed feelings with the vegetarian/vegan main course. My brother liked it, however my mum thought it was too tomatoey and needed more flavour into it, but apart from that they enjoyed it ☺️.

A slice of indulgence from the soft chocolate cake?

The dessert I had was the soft chocolate cake with light espresso sauce and that dessert itself is so divine that taking every bite is worth every moment you take a bite out of it ?. Even the presentation itself looks so exquisite and elegant as well. Sadly my mum and brother didn’t have the desert there because they decided not to have any but my mum did share some of my desert instead and she liked it too.

My overall experience with the brain tumour support Christmas meal at the Ansty social club has been exquisite and fun at the same time. I almost forgot there was also a raffle for us to enter, unfortunately neither my brother or I didn’t win anything but the biggest prize that we both gained is donating the money to charity and that is the biggest present that we got ever. ???

Here is the website for the social club below:

Esquires coffee time

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog and today’s blog is going to be a review on a café that I went to called Esquires Coffee and also meeting Coventry bloggers for the first time so grab a snack ? or a drink ☕️ and get comfortable ?, because this blog post is going to be something interesting for you to look at.

I also wanted to mention that they are an award winning community coffee shop and they have branches across the UK as well as the Coventry branch are celebrating their 10th birthday at the Coventry Transport Museum.

Steven Prime became the owner of the café at the age of 23 and has served the Coventry community for 10 years. He was named the HSBC Midlands and North Wales franchisee of the year 2012 and BFA HSBC UK Young franchisee of the year 2013 ??????.

The entrance of the café was truly amazing and it’s extremely cosy, warm and inviting along with the images being based on the history of Coventry including the rover article and vintage imagery being displayed on the walls if you walk further towards the other part of the café.

While at the cafe, I ordered the honeycomb cheesecake and the snowball hot chocolate, which they are shown in the picture below.

On the left is the snowball hot chocolate and the honeycomb cheesecake is on the right)
The honeycomb cheesecake on its own ?

So I’m gonna start with the honeycomb cheesecake and the cheesecake I’ve tried is absolutely gorgeous on both presentation and in flavour as well as being so creamy in texture too ?. The honeycomb itself gives it that extra crunch.

A mug of heavenly goodness from the snowball hot chocolate ?

After finishing off the cheesecake, it was time to try out the snowball hot chocolate and the hot chocolate tastes amazing and creamy but whatever you do, don’t leave the wafer biscuit in there too long otherwise it will sink to the bottom and that’s exactly what I did ?.

I literally left the wafer biscuit in the hot drink too long and it just fell apart and ended up in the drink, but apart from that the hot chocolate itself was beautifully executed by the barista.

The prices on both the cheesecake and the hot drink are affordable depending on what you’re ordering from the menu. My overall experience from the café has been truly amazing and I urge you right now to go over there and grab yourself a coffee and the best thing about it is that it’s actually next to the Coventry transport museum and you will love the history behind it.

Here is the link below for the actual cafe:
